Factory Operatives – Derby (Castle Donington)

£12.21 per hour | Monday–Friday | Temp to Perm Opportunity

We are hiring for a production operative for our client based in Derby, where you’ll play a vital part in supporting the smooth running of their manufacturing process.

This is a physically demanding role involving manual handling, lifting, and working within a small, close-knit team. In return, you’ll benefit from consistent hours, great team support, and the opportunity for a permanent position after 12 weeks.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Handling, moving, and transporting products safely across the production area.

• Using pallet jacks and trolleys for efficient movement of materials.

• Performing regular cleaning and hygiene tasks to maintain high standards.

• Inspecting products for quality and reporting any issues.

• Adapting to different stages of production as needed and cross-training where possible.

• Following strict health and safety procedures at all times.

• Working in confined spaces or under machinery when required.

What We’re Looking For

• Physically fit and comfortable with repetitive, manual work and lifting items of 10kg+.

• Reliable, proactive, and safety-conscious.

• Previous experience in production, manufacturing, or similar manual labour roles is beneficial.

• Good level of English for communication and teamwork.

• Flexible and able to work overtime when required.

Shift & Pay

• Monday to Friday, 09:00–17:00 (flexibility required)

• £12.21 per hour

• Overtime available
